Steve Ryan

Steve is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fetch the Sun, an international lifestyle brand dedicated to designing, manufacturing, and marketing high quality, fashionable clothing for women, men, and dogs. He oversees all aspects of the company's operations, from product development and marketing to sales and finance. Under his leadership, Fetch the Sun is quickly becoming one of the most successful independent fashion brands in the dog lover space.

Steve grew up with German Shepherds in the house and learned early on about the strength of the bond between dog and owner.

Immediately following high school, he enlisted in the Navy and retired as a Lieutenant Commander after 23 years of honorable service. A combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, he specialized in logistics and served in a variety of roles from submarine supply officer to foreign military advisor and battlefield logistics director; additionally, he’s participated in strategic planning at the highest levels of national security.

He received his bachelor's degree in educational development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and his Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He’s also a graduate of the Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College and has attended Georgetown University to study government affairs.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time surfing and hiking with his wife, kids and two dogs. A proponent for veteran care, Steve volunteers as an adaptive surfing coach taking fellow veterans surfing to aid healing physical and mental wounds through surf therapy.
